AMD64 7500-e910 not printing with HPIJS
I have a hp B209A AND hp 7500-E910 WIDE. the b209 works perfectly on my toshiba AMD64 and my 32 bit ACER but the 7500 does not print on the AMD64 even though I followed the same installation. I can access the status, allign heads and print printer diagnostics, and even scan. but when I send a test page the computer sends and declares job finished, bit the printer says "printing" for 5-10 minutes, then prints"****unable to open the initial device, quitting". it does the same when I print from gimp or libreoffice. when I try to set up wireless printing, it says there is a communication error and requests the usb cable be plugged in even though it is and I have checked status and scanned documents with USB. the 7500 works correctly with the ACER 32 bit.
I have installed HPIJS using "hplip.3.11.7.run" and followed it's instructions to install on both machines

Hi Gerg,
Thanks for providing hp-check output.
Please all delete print Queues and re-add print queues following method.
1) run "hp-toolbox" command.
2) remove all printers using "-" button from HP Device Manager.
3) run hp-setup and add printers again.
If problem still persists, please post again "hp-check -t" output.
Thanks & Regards,
Amarnath

Hi Amarnath
I have both printers working
Let me explain how.
I followed your instructions and then the B209a wouldn't work. I noticed that it previously used hpcups and was now using hpijs. I also noticed that it was still HPIJS 3.11.1, even though I had downloaded 3.11.7. So i deleted all printers again, removed all HPIJS versions from my machine, and deleted the HP toolbox icon from the task bar. I then ran HPIJS-3.11.7.run, then re-installed both printers using the gnome installer in "system"
Now both printers worked properly - both appear to be using hpcups.
