Hi,

Please find the plugin for HPLIP at http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/plugin_download.html
Steps for installing the plugin are also provided there. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Thanks,

Not completely solved. Link above only provides plugins for the latest hplip version. If I'm running Ubuntu 11.04, for example, I need: hplip-3.11.1-plugin.run (while HPLIP currently provides hplip-3.11.10-plugin.run)

Are older versions archived? If so where can we find them?

Hi Ra'id,

The general way is using hp-plugin to install the plugin.

Indeed.. and that's the problem. hp-plugin wants to download from "down for maintenance" site openprinting.org

As far as I can tell these are the steps hp-plugin takes:
1. Select installation choice: Download plugin OR Install local copy of plugin
2. If I choose Download: first download config file from http://hplip.sf.net/plugin.conf
3. Find appropriate URL classified under required HPLIP version number
4. Download plugin from http://www.openprinting.org/download/printdriver/auxfiles/HP/plugins/hplip-X.Y.Z-plugin.run

This method always fails. If I'm able to separately obtain the plugin with version number matching my installed HPLIP, I can at least choose to install from a local pre-obtained copy.

Hi,

As our plugin host site openprinting.org is down, we are providing temporary location to download the plug-in. But we are not able to provide all the old versions of plug-ins there. So please update your hplip to latest 3.11.10 release.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Thanks and Regards
