HP 4380 scan doen't work

HI,

  With the HPLIP2.7.10 Release my 4380 printer
  works and is supported but not my scan (with usb and wifi). I've this
  message of HP device manager :/*"Erreur d'ouverture du périphérique
  'hpaio:/net/Phtosmart_C4380_series?ip=192.168.0.11' Argument invalide.*/

  (bad)translate In english : open error : hpaio:/...... invalid argument

  Here is scanimage -L with debug

Everything looks good but I'm not seeing a configured printer, what happens if you run

sudo hp-setup

and follow the printer setup wizard? are you able to print/scan then?

hp-setup works good and it create printer URI hp:/net/Photosmart_C4380_series?ip=192.168.0.11

I can print but not scan (with san and hp device manager)

Is not actually an error with HPLIP but with X Server. It wont hurt anything, but if you want to fix it you could try searching for others that have had this problem--there is instructions on how to fix it.

The HPAIO error is due to the missing package libsane-hpaio1

I would advise to proceed as follow:

look in your distribution and install it or go the the sane Project, download latest build and install HPAIO from the sane project download

Hope this helps, Had the issue on different Mandriva [2009/2010.0/2010.1] and solution is really easy.
