Problems with HP PSC 2400 install

Asked by Bob

My printer is a HP PSC 2400. I am running Ubuntu 7.10. Both computers are connected via ethernet from the back of a D-Link WBR-1310. The HP PSC 2400 is physically connected to the XPpro machine. I have been unable to establish a wireless network, however MSHOME00 is the network.
Your help is appreciated.

Hi Bob,

If I understand you correctly, you want to share the printer from your MS system so that your ubuntu systems can print to it?

That is my hope; but thought the problem might be solved, if I could configure the wireless aspect of this small home network. Thank you for stepping in

Bob,

Currently HPLIP does not support sharing the printer from windows to linux.

However this page may be able to give you some direction--although keep in mind that I don't believe this process uses HPLIP and is not support by us in anyway:

Sorry I couldn't help more..hope this helps!
