I am trying to get my new OfficeJet 4500 G510N working on my linux 10.10 system. When I run hp-setup it all goes as planned until the very end. I get this message..... error: GetHostname returned an error: executionfailed Then the gui says it is finished and ready to be used, but the printer is "unplugged or turned off" (from a print window.) reading other questions led to no solution for me. But I know you are going to ask so here is the output from hp-setup -g and hp-check -t A little more history. I installed the printer first in Windows. Then having this problem, did a factory reset (# 6 power on) and tried again "first" in Ubuntu.
