HP p1102w Laser - No Duplex Printing

Hi everyone,

My HP p1102w Laser Printer had the option of duplex printing in Windows and the feature worked seamlessly. I've searched through the HP Linux printer settings menu several times and can't even find a duplex option, let alone get it to work. Most of the other "solutions" I've found on here were for different printer models, where apparently, this option was at least available (although these posts were also at least 1-2 years old). Given that I use my printer mostly for journal articles, auto duplex printing is a helpful feature for me.

Also, under the system's printer properties - "double sided" is available, but it immediately switches back to single sided when I click apply.

Just as an update, the printer's duplex feature was manual -- requiring the user to turn the paper over.

Hi,

Yes the printer supports Manual Duplex and not automatic duplexer. Manual duplex is not supported in HPLIP.

Hi there,

Thank you for the reply. Are there any plans to develop support for manual duplex? It's a handy feature to have for programs that don't allow you to select odd vs even pages.
