Can't Print on Hp LaserJet P1005

Asked by radwa

I have a new Ubuntu user and recently installed the HPLIP for managing my hp printer. Yesterday I was able to print just fine. Today it won't print at all. I get this message that the printing process has started and then has finished, while NOTHING has actually happened. So I decided to remove the HPLIP and re-install it. Now I am stuck with a problem concerning the plug-in..Yesterday it donwloaded perfectly from inside the HPLIP application, but today a message is displayed stating that the plug in was not found. My hp printer is a laserjet P1005. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Hi,

Can you please remove the plugin installed and re-install it? The link http://hplipopensource.com/node/305 and http://hplipopensource.com/node/309 will help you in this regard.

If the problem is not solved after that also, post the result of command 'hp-check -t' here.

Thanks and Regards
