Can't scan with Hp Deskjet 2050

I just bought a Hp Deskjet 2050 J510 series three in one, and use Ubuntu 10.10 and Simple Scan. I am trying to scan with Simple Scan, but Simple Scan says that there is no scanner inserted. is there anything I need to do.

Hi,

What is the version of hplip installed in your machine??
Please upgrade HPLIP to latest 3.11.5 and try.

If the problem is not solved, please post the result of command 'hp-check -t' here.

It works. But what if I upgrade to Ubuntu 11.04?
