where is hp-setup?

Asked by Mrs Sharon Dandpat

i 'm using ubuntu (latest release),and have down loaded HPLIP for my HP Photosmart Premium (C309a), it wirelessly connects to my toshiba satellite Pro when I boot to windows, (becasue I installed the disk that came with the printer) and to a Mac ibookG4 and to a compaq desktop with a wireless adaptor. It is wirelessly connected through the BT home Hub. I have followed the online instructions to down load HPLIP up to the stage when you restart your printer and your computer. Then it says to access HP device manager and/or hp setup but I don't know where to find them.
I am very new to ubuntu. i want to be able to scan and print wirelessly from the ubuntu operating system on my Toshiba.
Thank you

Hi,

Please open a new terminal and give the command 'hp-setup'. This command will open HP Device Manager and you can configure your printer accordingly.
