hplip installer fails

Asked by kevin reeder

The installer claims my systems lacks gcc while it is in fact there. See error message below. The other missing (or not) dependencies are not identified. Perusing responses to similar inquiries left the impression that the problem hasn't been resolved. If there's not a solution or work-around, please let me know so I can make other arrangements for printing. What's the next step?

Running Fedora 14.

Currently HPLIP is not supporting Fedora 14.
Please start auto installation and select distro as Fedora 13 as manually.

Thanks,
Naga Samrat Chowdary, Narla
