HPLIP

currently manafactured inkjet printers?

I want to get a new printer - the old one works but there's no current driver, so alas I need a new one.
With 1980 HP printers supported, this should be easy right?
But no, I can't find a single Photosmart HP printer supported that is a currently sold model.
I want an inkjet printer, hopefully one that is of higher print quality for photos, but usable for occasional documents.
Does anyone know of one? Duplex would be nice.
I see others have this problem. It seems that it would be to HP's advantage in selling printers to make sure the stuff they
have for sale is supported, but apparently they're in a muddle. For that matter I'd take an Epson or Lexmark.
