I keep getting a box when I start up that says Officejet 6000 is disconnected. It is not disconnected help me remove the box(message)

When I start up my computer I keep getting a box from HP that says my HP officejet 6000 is disconnected. My officejet 6000 is not disconnected and I don't want that message comming up anymore. Please give me the steps to remove that message.

Hi Julie,

 Are you using Linux OS and HPLIP is installed in your machine? If so you can enable/disable messages coming from HPLIP driver as follows:
Launch HP Device Manager, go to configure->Preferences and System Tray Icon. Select the appropriate item in "Messages to show" drop down box. Depend on the option you will receive the messages from HPLIP Driver.

If problem persists, please take screenshot of warning message and attach.
