HP Designjet is not mentioned in that list (Jan-10.2012), neither as supported nor as unsupported, so the question is not yet answered.

I am interested in the same answer ...

"HP Designjet" = "HP Designjet 111"

I tried to get mine running using the "DesignJet 110" driver, but that only lead to the printer crashing, LED blink codes telling me "invalid command received" ....

So I'm running it by transfering files to a Windows VM in VirtualBox right now, then printing them from within there via USB device sharing ...

I'm very much interested in a pure Linux solution to this though as I'd rather have a Raspberry Pi acting as a network print server for it than having to have the printer
nearby my main desktop machine that's capable of running said VM ...

Got it working now under 15.04 and 15.10:

First choose "Designjet 110" as model

There is a choice of two drivers for this model:

* HP DesignJet 110 Foomatic/cdnj500 (recommended)
* HP DesignJet 110 Foomatic/chp2200

The "recommended" driver doesn't work with this model,
the printer will crash with "invalid command received"
blink code, then will reboot itself

The "chp2200" driver works fine so far though.

So I now finally got rid of the need for the extra windows VM :)

Can you help with this problem?
