B8850 Black and White photo printing
Hi - as you can see, I asked this question about two years ago. At the time, printing my B/W photos with just the black pen or composite (CMYK) gray was no really an option for me. It appears that hplip has gone through several releases since then and I was wondering if hplip now uses the B8850's photo black and photo gray for B/W prints or if it still only uses composite or regular black ink. I have been editing in linux and the printing off windows, but I would really love to dump windows.
If this isn't a feature yet, could you tell me where to make a feature request? It would be great if hplip allowed the use of the various photo inks for printers that have them.
Also, I have not done any tests recently, does color use C /M /Y /Light C, Light M or just CMY still?
Thanks for your time!
