device communication error 5012 opensuse11.3

Asked by spalvotas on 2010-08-04

Hi,

upon tying to print i recieve device communication error 5012.

I can't get printer F4580 printing through wireless.
Automatic installation was complaining about decencies,
that it cannot install them for 11.3 version of opensuse.
I installed as many as i could of them manually. i think it was
only libusb that was not fully satisfied .

I used hplip driver with automatic install on same printer
on opensuse 11.2, and it work with no problems.

user is member of sys and lp groups.

any upcoming automatic istalation for opensuse 11.3 ?

Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies are installed to successfully compile
HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball has the proper dependencies installed to
successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).

HPLIP Auto installation support for OpenSUSE 11.3 is not available. Support for SUSE 11.3 will be available in coming release of HPLIP.

Looks like you are manually installed some of the dependency packages.
so, In SUSE 11.3 please start HPLIP auto installation and select distro as SUSE 11.2.
please skip if it ask if any packages to install.

Thanks,
