where can i find hp-laserjet_professional_p1102w.ppd?

Asked by Monsieurweller

Hello!
So i've setup my HP laserjet P1102w, but there is still two problems:

- it seems that i need a plugin for obtain a proper support. hp-plugin and hplip-3.10.5-plugin.run both segfault with the following, respective, error:

Plug-in version: 3.10.5
Installed HPLIP version: 3.10.5
Number of files to install: 36

QInotifyFileSystemWatcherEngine::addPaths: inotify_add_watch failed: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type
QFileSystemWatcher: failed to add paths: /home/paul/.config/ibus/bus
Bus::open: Can not get ibus-daemon's address.
IBusInputContext::createInputContext: no connection to ibus-daemon

Done.
./hplip-plugin-install: line 4: 3525 Erreur de segmentation python ./plugin_install.py $*
error: Plug-in install failed.

Done.
Erreur de segmentation (note: segfault)

QInotifyFileSystemWatcherEngine::addPaths: inotify_add_watch failed: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type
QFileSystemWatcher: failed to add paths: /home/paul/.config/ibus/bus
Bus::open: Can not get ibus-daemon's address.

.
- Wifi dont work (didn't detect an "wireless capable device"). It's surely related to the proprietary plugin, which is missing.

Additionnal notes: it will be really awesome if you manage to make a ppa repository for the latest hplip drivers (and proprietary plugins).
Because installing hplip actually is a huge pain in the a** for a beginner like me. :D

Ok, so i've managed to install the firmware with "sudo hp-plugin -i"

But it still didn't recognize the "wireless capable device".

If i modify the file models.dat for add wifi-config=1 in the section of my printer, i obtain this instead:

An I/O error occurred.
Please check the USB connection to your printer and try again.
(Device I/O error)

 Hi Monsieurweller,

Wireless support for the model HP LaserJet Professional P1102w is currently not working. It is already there in our todo list. Will get back to you once it is done. Sorry for the inconvinence!.

Thanks for your continuous support towards HPLIP.

Thanks and Regards,
Srikanth Lokare

I'm having the same problem. I ran hp-check -t and it gave me 4 errors, missing dependencies. I installed those and tried to print again and it didn't work. Here is MY hp-check -t output..

Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the
HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro
supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode
will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).

Saving output in log file: hp-check.log
