HPLIP

Any Karmic support for HP lllP printer?

Ubuntu Karmic, have a nice hp lllp that runs on xp, but I want it to run on Karmic also. Any hope? I have searched diligently and found nothing.

There are drivers for the LaserJet 3P. If you have Karmic installed already just try it. Otherwise try it from the Karmic Live CD.

If the LaserJet 3P drivers don't work for you (there are normally a few to choose from, but go for the one marked as "recommended" unless it doesn't work for some reason) then you could try the HP LaserJet driver or one of the Generic PCL5 or Generic PostScript drivers, but I'm pretty sure the HP LaserJet 3P recommended driver will work for you.

It is like 3P and the identifiers in programs are IIIP from which you choose. I guess 3p will also get to it.
