How can I remove HPLIP if I used the .run installer ?

Asked by Fabián Rodríguez

I've used the HPLIP installer (.run file) and would now like to completely remove HPLIP.

What would be the recommended way to do this ?

Thank you.

The same question was previously asked I see:

It seems the uninstall instructions for a manual build of HPLIP also apply to the .run installer.

Could this be confirmed for the current version ?

Should I file a bug to request this as a feature of the installer (uninstall capability) ?

If you have HPLIP directory (extracted from .run or .tar.gz) used for installation, goto HPLIP directory and run "make uninstall" as root.
if you don't have HPLIP directory, follow that instructions at http://hplipopensource.com/node/188
