cartridge error 1049

Asked by ladugin andrey

hi
then i powered on my Photosmart-Plus-B209b - on touch screen i see some error about magenta cartridge
and in windows drivers i see more additional info and that to do (replace cartridge), but in linux i see no messages !
hp-info show me only status-code = 1049, but no description
in hplip source also no mention about this code (codes.py)
that can i do in this situation in linux ?
can i obtain all descriptions about all status codes ?
openSuse 11.2 i586, hplip-3.9.12

-----------------------------------------------------
! Ink Cartridge Problem
The following Ink Cartridge(s) appear
to be missing or damaged

Refer to status screen on your
computer for details
-----------------------------------------------------

to obtain this screen - just remove any cartridge (or not fully fixate cartridge in his place)

Hi,

Try following the directions in this HP document:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01756263&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=uk&product=3777182&lang=en

If this doesn't work, contact HP phone support as they can replace any defective part under warranty.

hi
yes, this solved my problem
but i want to see (in future releases of hplip) this message in hp-toolbox, and status of printer must be "not ready"

Glad that worked.

Good point about the lack of informative message in the HP Toolbox. You could file a bug report (click on the Create bug report link above) to tell the developers.
