unclear information about fax capabilities for CC335B / c309a

I can see two drivers for c309a / HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-one Printer CC335B printers. The first one is (only ?) available with an older hplip installation and supports pc-fax. The second one is available with a later hplip version, but does not support pc-fax.
I intend to buy this Printer, but don't have it right now. - Therefore I can not test this.

Is there a pc-fax support with the latest hplip version for c309a?

What is the difference between the two drivers I found (assuming both drivers fit)?

HPLIP supports PC-fax (sendfax) for HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-one (CC335B) c309a. The similar entries are misleading. I will try to clean it up.
