Scan problem with hp 3390 MFP
I've bougt a hp3390 MFP. This device is properly working with printing, faxing and copying. When I want to scan, this works when I use the scan option in Hplip device manager. But on the device itself there are two buttons. A little "scan to" (scannen naar, in Dutch) and a bigger one "SCANNEN". When I press the little there appears a message on the display "Not installed on your pc" (Niet ingesteld op uw pc, in Dutch). When I press the bigger button then I see a message "Waiting on pc" (wachten op pc, in Dutch), but no acction occurs.
My question is: is it possible to scan directly from the device or is this only possible by software (the hplip device manager)?

Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the
HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro
supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode
will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).
