FYI, this forum is focused on those questions regarding HP hardware. I'd encourage you to try one of the many other answer forums (found by searching launchpad with toshiba p105 sound -- https://launchpad.net/+search?field.text=toshiba+p105+sound&field.actions.search=Search) as it seems a fair amount of help is available there.

but when i put the disk back in and try to click on wubi.exe it gives me this

an error occurred while loading archive
command line output

[/media/cdrom0/wubi.exe]
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
zipinfo: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /media/cdrom0/wubi.exe or
/media/cdrom0/wubi.exe.zip, and cannot find /media/cdrom0/wubi.exe.ZIP, period.

how do i reinstall ubuntu when im already running it?

Ah, I would have never guessed from the original question that wubi was involved. I see several threads
(search launchpad with wubi sound) that discuss how to further troubleshoot your audio issue. As for your Wubi
re-install issue, I'd search launchpad with wubi install or refer to the WubiGuide regarding uninstalling -- https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide

Have you tried "model=mobile" option for snd_hda_intel driver? You can add this option using instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/HPCompaq6930p/Intel Scroll down to "Fixes" and the first subsection is "Audio".

Can you help with this problem?
