problem with automated transaction

Asked by Dom

Using homebank 4.0.3 on ubuntu 9.1

Home bank started moving my monthly automated transactions 4 months ahead, these can be reset & saved, but once homebank is restarted they magically have set themselves 4 months in to the future.

Then My wages automated transaction started magically repeating itself 3 times a month even though the automated transaction confirms it is set to once monthly

Now I have lost track completely as automated transactions seem to have gone completely wild and randomly generate themselves, My future balance changes from wildy overdrawn to millionaire every time it is opened.........

Possibly solved this one but need to monitor

on initial setup I found no future balance being predicted, this appeared to be fixed by what I possibly misinterpreted in that I set the wallet properties to use 90 days in advance, my thinking was that this was the time period to be predicted???

Anyways the 4 month addition to automated payments just happens to be 90 days

I have removed all duplicate transactions from the account and set the future days to zero, on initial save and reopen all seems fine.

Which leaves one question........why am I still seeing a future balance and how far ahead is this if it has nothing to do with the wallet properties future setting?

Thanks

The wallet "insert x days into the future" is just to insert automated transaction x days before their term.
The future balance for a specific account is the balance of every transaction.
To know untill where it go, see the date range in the account window juste below the filter range widget and the transaction list.
Or the fast date filter on the left part of the overdrawn window for example when you set to all date.

Thanks for the clarification

I have also found that the fact that I had saved a backup of my wallet file using the same name caused an issue with Homebank opening both files under certain conditions & duplicating the transactions.

lesson learn't the hard way....Thanks
