Error message in Terminal window

Asked by Daniel

Hi. I get this error message on my iMac in the Terminal window:

Computing dependencies for homebankError: Unable to execute port: can't read "build.cmd": Failed to locate 'make' in path: '/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin' or at its MacPorts configuration time location, did you move it?

I have no idea what it means. I'm just trying to install Homebank. Don't know much about computers.
Help appreciated!

Hi, sorry to bother, but I didn't receive an email. Thanks for your effort, anyway, Maxime!

Hello,

Unfortunately, I am not a mac owner and can't help you on install HomeBank on a mac.
Seems to be a problem during macport install or something of that kind.
May I suggest you to try the macport forum to get help, someone will probably can respond to you better than I !

Thanks for the advice! I did get some good feedback from macport; I'll try downloading something or other to take care of whatever it is that needs updating...or something. Anyway, I appreciate your help.
