Release channel Linux

Asked by Pascal

Hello to all,
I'm finally decided to install Homebank on my Xubuntu computer. I remarked that the "official" release channel (ppa:mdoyen/homebank) is still on 5.7 version. AFAIK ppa has always a delay to release last versions.
Is there another way to obtain last stable release packet ?
Thanks a lot in advance to Maxime.

5.7 is he last stable version.
5.8 is still in release candidate version, so unstable for now.

Hello Maxime,
thanks a lot for your reply.
What I meant is that on ppa there aren't minor release. So at the moment there is 5.7 but not 5.7.4.
Thanks a lot for your help,
Pascal

no the ppa is up to date with 5.7.4

unless you have an incompatible dependency (obsolete) ubuntu version

Oh God,
indeed I'm on Xubuntu 20.04 !
Do you know how to force ppa to last version ?
Thanks a lot in advance.

So I tried to compile 5.7.4 but it requires libsoup-3.0 and it is not available on Ubuntu 20.04
It may be ambitious but I'll try to compile it...
