no balance column visible

Asked by DaveGK

I've imported QIF data into HomeBank 4.0.2 on unbuntu 9.0.4 from MS Money - few separate files for each account, and most of it went fine, but there's no running balance displayed, even though I can see balance column on screenshots on the website. There is no option to select "balance" in preferences either. The top line shows today and future balances correctly. Oh, and I am an absolute novice with unbuntu and Linux...
Cheers,
Dave

HomeBank do not show a running balance column. The reason is that this column as only a meaning when the transaction are sorted by date, and in HomeBank, in the account window, you can sort in every order and filter as well.

The running balance, if needed is available in the overdrawn report.

Max.

That's OK - I've already concluded that HomeBank is not a suitable replacement for MS Money for me.

Hi. i have recently started using HomeBank, and version 5.4.3 does support the balance column, that only shows when transactions are sorted by date.
