Asked by StefTas5562

You recently released Homebank 5.5.6 Source code and a Windows executable have been made available.

Will you be updating the Ubuntu PPA?

Stefano,
It appears that the PPA has been updated. I was able to update my Arch, Manjaro, Mint, and Ubuntu 22.04 instances with no problems. All are now running version 5.5.6.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for the information that PPA 5.5.6 exists.
But on my two
- Linux Mint 20.3
- Cinnamon 5.2.7
- Linux kernel 5.15.0-41
laptops HB is not updated. It stays at 5.5.5
Also deleting the repository and the PPA entries and adding them again did not bring any success.

I will now set up a VM VirtualBox with Linux Mint 20.3 and test. Let's see if it works. Or I wait for Linux Mint 21.

Thanks and greetings, Stefano

I think I found it: The new HB version was created for Ubuntu 21 & 22. LM 20.3 uses Ubuntu 20.04

Stefano,
Now that I re-read my post, I see that what I wanted to say and what I did say were two different things. First, I should have said that the version of Mint that I'm using is the development branch for the upcoming Mint 21. Second, I meant to say that all my linux machines are on v5.5.6. Obviously, a ppa doesn't work on Arch & Manjaro.

That being said, I am pretty sure that v5.5.6 was working on Mint 20.3 before a switched to the development branch.
