I see my question "697963" expired as it had been open for 15 days with no action.
Does this mean I should raise it again, or that it is un-answerable and I should just forget it and move on?

You can try re-opening the question, maybe it will get an answer with the second try.
Creating another question with the same contents does not make sense.
