Show/Hide balances

Asked by Bob Farish

I'm still getting to grips with Homebank, but I do like it.

In the manual, under 'Balances' in the account view, it says that you can show/hide certain balances on the top line. I only need to show the 'Today' and 'Future' balances, but having searched, I can't find how to do this.

I think I'm being dumb, and maybe misreading what can be done, so can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm using Homebank on Windows 10.

On the window showing your accounts, in the far upper left corner of that window, is a small icon that looks like a gear or sun. If you right-click on that, you can uncheck any of the balance columns you wish to remove. If you don't have that icon, you may need to upgrade to a newer version of HB.

Stan,

thanks for your reply. I know how to show/hide columns, it's the balances along the top line I was referring to:

Reconciled, Cleared, Today, Future -

they're in the Balance Area' according to the manual (number 5 against it), which contains the balance summary. Clicking the link in the manual takes you to a page where it tells you as an example, you can hide/show the Reconciled and Future balances.

I can live with it if it can't be done, it's no big deal, I'm just curious as to how to do it.

Bob

Hi Bob,

Sorry for my confusion. I understand clearly now, and I see in the manual where it says you can show/hide these values. But I cannot find a setting to hide them either. Even hiding the columns does not remove them from that top line in individual accounts. Maybe someone else can help and enlighten us both.

Cheers,
Stan
