Assignments do not work on imported file

I prepare a csv file from my bank for import into Homebank (version 5.4.2). I have created a list of assignments using data in the Memo field in the csv file inserting the respective Payee names and Categories for each assigned transaction selecting "if Empty" for Payee and Category. When I import the csv file into Homebank, the assignments are not automatically applied forcing me to manually enter the assignments for each transaction. What am I doing wrong?

Ensure that you tick the automation at the confirmation step

The boxes on the Confirmation screen [] Enrich with payee default and [] Run automatic assignment rules were ticked but the fields for Payee and Category were not inserted by the Automatic Assignment feature.
