auto import of qif file not working

Asked by Philippe Koch

I use QIF format to import my bank data.
Name of my HomeBank account, name of the QIF file and account name in QIF file are all the same.
But when I import my QIF file into HomeBank, HomeBank account name is not automatically recognized and I always have to select it manually.
According to the documentation (file:///usr/share/doc/homebank-data/help/use-import.html), at step 3, under the paragraph "Automated account target", it seems that it should be automatically recognized, isn't it ?

Hi,
I'm using version 5.2.6 under Xubuntu 18.04.
One of my accounts is named Golden and the name of QIF file used to feed it is Golden.qif
There's no spaces or special characters in all my account names and all QIF files used to feed them have the same name as the account name with the suffix .qif
It has worked in the past, but I cannot tell with which version.
Kind regards.

Hi,
I made some tests this morning and found the solution.
The problem was a missing line in all my QIF input files.
So no problem with the software which just works fine with corrected QIF files.
Thanks for your support.
Kind regards.
