How to default new transaction to withdraw funds

Asked by Yijian on 2019-05-17

Hello,
Really love the program! However what's annoying is how everytime I add a withdrawal transaction, I have to manually select the +/- button (which isn't very big). Is there a way to default the program to withdrawal instead of deposit? I can't seem to find it in the options, so is there a text file I can edit to achieve this?

Thanks

Yijian Fong

yes, #1756681 will change completely this with a top widget expense/Income/transfer (default set to expense)

I don't understand what you mean, can you please rephrase that?

Andre Soares (soares-andre) said : #3

Great notice Maxime! Thank you so much. I'm sure this feature will help everyone.

What on earth are you 2 talking about? Can I get some actual help here??

Yijian (misteryij) said : #5

When I want to ADD transaction, for the AMOUNT, instead of defaulting to ADDING funds, how do I make it default to WITHDRAWING funds everytime, without having to click the "-" button? There's other programs out there that default to withdrawal already (MoneyManger Ex is one I used to use).

Seriously, is my question so hard to understand? Is there a proper forum or support I can contact for Homebank if you can't give me a direct answer?

Hi Yijian.
Take it easy man. Maxine had answered your question relating it with another one that is talking about the same thing you would like.
In other words: he is working on it, calm down.

Take a look of the related topic:

In the meantime, try to understand how this forum works and also how to use the "search" feature to find similar questions before asking. There are big chances that someone had asked the same question before you have.

Best regards.
