Budget methodology

Hi,

I recently came across HomeBank and have a question about the methodology or approach for HB's budgeting. I am looking for a package that uses "zero-dollar". I'm in the US, and use USD, so the dollar could be replaced by local currency. This method focuses more on budget planning more than expense tracking, although expense tracking is vital. It's basically, income - expenses = zero and the budget has income allocated to categories and expenses are assigned to those categories..

Two zero-dollar options in the USA/Canada are You Need a Budget (YNAB) and EveryDollar.
