Why an operation of type "internal transfert" can't be ventilated

Asked by Lionel KOMSA

Hello,

Sorry but, for relaunch my problem with the Bug #1787826 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/homebank/+bug/1787826), I ask this question to understand your answer, or maybe change your mind.

Why do you consider that an internal tranfert could not be ventilated ?
In fact, an internal transfer is the same than a virement from one of my account to an account not in my Home Bank account's list. Except it's a virement between two accounts managed in Home Bank. A virement can be ventilated, but not an internal transfert.
I recently do such a virement between two of my accounts for refound two things with different categories... That why I ask this....

What I really can't understand, is that, in my mind, allow this has any bad consequences on your soft...

Anyway, even if you don't change this, as I said in bug report, when you ventilate an operation, and then change his type to "internal transfert", the ventilation still recorded.

Have a nice day.
Lionel

Why do you consider that an internal transfer could not be ventilated ?
> I don't consider anything, things are what they are, an internal xfer by design (and was designed to this purpose) is a unitary transaction (un virement bancaire) of money between your accounts: a transfer of a single amount from account A to B, don't need to be splitted within several budget category.

Anyway, even if you don't change this, as I said in bug report, when you ventilate an operation, and then change his type to "internal transfert", the ventilation still recorded.
> this is a bug then, I will check and fix into the bug

Anyway, several other bugs leads me to think no one is using this the way it should so at a point things may changes.

Can you help with this problem?
