split lines showing as 1 line in reports generated ...

Asked by Ajc

Hi

our accountant was doing some preparatory work for the accounts using the export CSV function and found that the split information does not appear in the file. Instead the total amount of the transaction is reported against the first category in the split.
(This a problem for us given that the split information at a transaction level is required for the accounts. So basically this impacts all the Expenses, HMRC, Salary and Dividend transactions).

Interestingly, he found that it is possible to create an export QIF File from Homebank. When this is opened in Quicken all the split transaction info is visible. From Quicken a text file can then be created from the register report which can be used in Excel.

We are currently moving away from Quicken, as it is no longer supported ... Homebank is an excellent solution for us ... so we would like to take Quicken out of the equation when generating our accounts at the end of the year.

look forward to hearing from you ...
