Budget amounts not showing in report

Asked by michael

I couldn't find this problem in previous questions.

Downloaded Homebank today, v. 5.0.3, running in Linux Mint.

1. I set an expense budget amount of -60 in category 'food'.
2. I recorded a transaction of -55 in that same category

In the budget report window, I get

category | spent | budget | result
food | -55 | [blank] | -55 under

In Stack view, 'budget' is listed as $0.00 for the categories even though when I go to 'manage budget' the negative amounts I entered are still there.

I have looked everywhere I can, read through manuals and FAQs, cannot find any reason for the budget field to be blank, and for transactions to not come off of the budget.

My account IS included in the budget, and expense budgets are given with negative amounts as the user manual showed.

Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I added a few more transactions in different categories (some budgeted and some not), and weirdly the issue has sorted itself out. I didn't change any settings, just added transactions.

Now that this issue is solved, I love Homebank. It is brilliant.
