force update latest version

I am new to linux and I would like to install latest version of HomeBank to get the QIF import/export ability.
I am using UBUNTU 8.10. The version of HomeBank available by add/remove and update is 3.8. No matter what I have tried, I cannot install newer version. Please forgive me if this has been answered before.

There is a latest version in getdeb (http://www.getdeb.net/app/HomeBank) that you should be able to install.
