Split transaction not split when sorting by category

I have been using homebank to roughly track my personal monthly expenses.

In the 'account' window, where all transactions are shown, I find it useful to sort by category to see all transactions in one place. When I have a split transaction, it is sorted first, so this view becomes useless if I have any split transactions.

Should I be doing this differently? I have found the statistics page, but it will only show one category at a time, while I like seeing everything together.
