Important .qif into HomeBank - 18 of 19 accounts okay

Asked by mb

I am transferring .qif files from a Mac (Checkbook program by Splasm Software) into HomeBank in Windows 10. I successfully transferred the individual .qif account files for the first 18 accounts. For the 19th -- and last -- account, it will not transfer. I get these error messages:

Some date convertion fail
Reload using date order 'd-m-y'?

Some date convertion fail
Reload using date order 'y-m-d'?

No matter combination of answers I provide to these two questions, it then says error and the transfer failed.

I have checked through the 2,600 or so transactions in the file and see no visible date problem.

ok that means all conversion failed between DMY, YMD or MDY (you might have mixed of those into the same file maybe)
or something else.
do you have txn prior to 1970 into that file ?

if you can provide the file (not here but to homebank mailbox), it's better for analysis what's wrong

Okay, when I save the file as CSV, I can see that some of the date fields are corrupted. It is funny that they show correctly in the Checkbook (by Splasm) program, but that they are incorrect in the CSV file. I started correcting them, but they are beyond simply putting in a correct date, since other fields are also corrupted, and it seems to make a bit of a mess. What is interesting is that the other 18 accounts all came in okay, and I see no problems in them!
