Statistics not showing split transaction amounts

Asked by Bruce

The statistics window does not show a breakdown of amounts in categories of a split transaction. For example: say I have a transaction for $40 split in two categories: $20 for food and $20 for gas. When I look at statistics for my expenses under the category of gas it shows the entire $40 transaction not the amount split into that category. So I am not getting an accurate statistic because both the food and gas categories are too high, showing $40 in each. How can I work around this? Or is this a bug in the program?

Also another statistics question. For any given time period the expenses for a category do not equal the proper percentage of the income (deposit).

All my deposits added up equal 100% of the "income" statistic. But looking at one category for example, rent, it lists it as 36% but it is actually 26% when you do the math. I cannot figure this out. What numbers is it using to get those %? And in the other column called balance it says my rent is 15% so I do not know what that is.
