Error" there is no disk in the drive"

Asked by peersi

Am I the only person having a problem after having RE loaded 5.1 whereby I get an error box saying there is no disk in the drive ? I am using Win 10
If I just press continue the program appears to work OK but it is rather annoying.

5.1 ? (is not yet released !), you mean 5.0.4 ?
There was some trouble with the initial setup, try the last one.

Hello Maxine - I restarted my PC on the next day and the problem has
cleared. I thank you so much for your help and apologise for my
foolishness in not doing a complete reboot after reinstalling the
software. Keep up the great work.
kind regards

I got this problem and discovered the answer ... my Canon Printer presents itself as a disk drive if you look at Control Panel:Device Manager. It did NOT show up in the "Safely eject" or other disk lists!

I disabled it in device manager and hey presto, problem goes away!
