internal transfer wont match because of dates

Asked by Ry

I want to match the transfers that I have made from a cheque account to a credit card account.
The date of the transfer from the cheque account does not match the date in the credit card account because the funds were transfered over a weekend. So because of this the dates are different as funds dont clear in a credit card account untill a week day is reached.
Therefore I cannot match the two up.
Is there a way of manually doing this? or am I doing something wrong?

I have tried changing the dates on one of the two accounts and this works and they will match up, but when i import a new bank statement it Imports the original date (the one I have changed) and it then has the transfer in twice.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Ry

If you import your file separately, or not once you change the date it's possible.
What to do is as follow:
- take the target account and remove the internal payment mode
- chnage the date so that it match the source txn one
- leave and reopen the txn again
- then revert back to payement mode
- click ok
- HomeBank will normally propose you the source txn to be linked

Hi,
I'm having the same problem and I don't know that I understand your solution. Even if I did, it seems a lot of work for regular internal transfers.

I transfer from one bank (monabanq) to another (Crédit Mutuel) and it takes one or two days. The dates are slightly off. Is there no way that HomeBank could at least propose transactions within a given date range (perhaps that could be a parameter - "how many days to look before and after to offer potential matching transactions") instead of on an exact date? Maybe it does this, but MOST of the time, the transactions have not been proposed and I've had the same problem the original poster has. Only rarely has the potential matching transaction been proposed.
Thank you.
