Linking bank accounts and cash in hand account

Asked by Madhav

Firstly I would like to mention that this is a great software. Nice and easy to use.

The only place I got stuck is that when I add a cash withdrawal entry into a bank account, it considers it as an expense. I have added on bank account and one cash account. So what I basically want is that, when I make a cash withdrawal entry from the bank account, it should not show as an expense, but the bank account should get debited with that amount and the cash account should automatically get credited.

Currently I have to do two entries, one for cash withdrawal debit from the bank account and another for cash withdrawal credit into the cash account. Also, this makes and entry as expense from the bank account and income in the cash account. This is not an expense or income. It is just transferring the funds from bank account to cash account.

Can you please let me if this is possible. If it is, what setting should I do so that the system works this way.

Thanks,

Madhav
