Lost file .xhb with homebank in ext4 now is 0 bytes, how to restore it?

a day I have switch on my laptop and see the led of the hdd on for long time and never go off usually stay on for the time is botting around 15-20second . this time the laptop didn t boot and the screen was black , mmm so I force the shoutdown . after that my laptop boot normal and the led ether , but on my home folder , I discovered the file.xhb was 0 bytes .

I have ubuntu 12.04 64 desktop SSD intel 330 180gb firmware 300i filesystem ext4

anyone knows how to recover that file ? I have checked with photorec but that file is not in the list .

If you go to where you had your file saved, set it to show hidden files and a backup of your file should be there with the same name but a ~ at the end
