in split window the + icon to add second item not highlighted.

When I make a split transaction, the + icon add a second split item is not usable until I press the up or down arrow icon in the amount field. The rest of the + icons become usable as soon as they a new split item is made. I think that if you press the split icon you probably want to make more than one split so the + icon should be active without any other action.

Not a show stopper, justt a mild annoyance.

This is by design. Add the items one at a time. Once you've put the amount
for the current one in it will let you put another one in

That did not solve the problem. On my system the first line in the splits window does NOT allow me to add a second item after I enter the cost until I either raise or lower the cost by using the little arrows by the cost box. To enter a third or fourth item , it works by just entering the cost in the cost box.

If you just type an amount and don't validate with tab or enter, the + button is disabled.
Please convert this question to a bug, to be taken into consideration for a fix.
