Some strings in the main window untranslated

Asked by roffik

I've finished Polish translation and noticed that account types (shown in "Your accounts" in the main window) are not translated. I tried to find them in source code, but I'm not good enough in it. This is reproducible with previously saved file, as well as with newly created one.

(BTW: Does someone know whether recompiling is the only way to test modified translation?)

Version: 4.5 stable
Platform: Linux

Just download your translation
https://translations.launchpad.net/homebank/trunk/+pots/homebank/pl/+translate

then move the pl.po to HomeBank-4.5/po
cd into that dir
make
sudo make install

this will install you translation into your system.
No other way for testing po files.

BTW you can edit locally with tool like poedit, then don't forget to uploat to launchpad, this is my repository for translation.

Yea, I did that, after many tries to copy *.mo file to /usr/share/locale... folder. The program would never be fully in Polish, although I translated all strings.

But I think this is still a _bug_:
Now I have everything in Polish except for account types, which are in English. I tried also "LANGUAGE='pt' homebank" - in Portuguese your program looks all right, but that account types are in English also. There aren't any untranslated strings (I also used PoEdit to "Update from sources" from the newest source from yours program homepage).

Can you help with this problem?
