remove wallet

Asked by Jenny Corbett

How can I delete a wallet? I created a copy of a wallet (*.xhb) in a different folder (in Windows Vista) and deleted the original but both copies show in the list of files under Open in Homebank. The one that was deleted can't be found of course but I can't remove it from the list. How can i make Homebank stop looking for the old one?

Try to open your new .xhb file in homebank. Then save this .xhb-file again from inside Homebank. The old .xhb-file listing should now have disappeared.

Thanks for this but it hasn't solved the problem. When I open Homebank I have a list of wallets. The default seems to be to open one called untitled. So I go to file, open and use the list of wallets to choose the one I want (the one I want to keep). I open that and then save it but the next time I open Homebank all the other wallets are still there.

I have tried, but the Open_Wallet history cannot be cleared from inside the program.
You could file this as bug ¨clearing open wallet history not possible¨ and add Homebank version.

I found a work around. The old wallets were in the default folder for Homebank and the new one was in a different folder so I changed the preferences to make the new folder the default. Now Homebank has stopped listing the phantom old wallets. But you are right that this is a bug and it would be good to be able to delete old wallets from inside the program.

Can you help with this problem?
