How do we create automated repeat payments such as direct debits and standing orders? I want to be able to push events into the future that are repeating such as mobile phone bills, mortage/rent/utilities etc

Cant see how that works at the moment?

You must uses the archives for that.
And configure a post insert in time in the property dialog

Thanks for the response. Sorry not to have responded before, must have missed your reply in the plethora of launchpad emails I seem to get on bug reports etc. I switched to Gnucash which is a little too heavyweight for my needs but the HomeBank software didnt feel very intuitive to use with the key repeated processes I would need. I would offer a recommendation of simplifying the process for setting up/modifying standing orders direct debits etc with direct menu options rather than some rather complex/less intuitive route with archives. Happy to try HomeBank again as it develops but I needed something that worked and flowed better now for my current needs.
