Calculate not running loaded batch file

Asked by Azaria Coupe on 2017-02-03

Dear HEPMDB team,

I am having issues with the Calculate section of HEPMDB, it seems I cannot run any batch files other than the default batch. I have not come across this issue before. The steps I am taking are:

> Enter the Calculate section
> Select the required model (I am using CalcHEP on HEPMDB)
> Edit batch file (at this point the default batch appears)
> Load batch file (selecting the batch file I want to run)
> Save batch file
> Run batch file

When I then check the progress/results of this run, I can clearly see that regardless of what batch file I have written or loaded, Run Batch uses the default batch rather than the one I explicitly loaded/wrote.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

If you need further details then please let me know.

Thanks,

Azaria

Dear Azaria,

here is the problem on your side,
see my remarks in the squared br5ackets:

> Enter the Calculate section [correct]
> Select the required model (I am using CalcHEP on HEPMDB) [correct]
> Edit batch file (at this point the default batch appears) [correct]

> Load batch file (selecting the batch file I want to run) *[ NOT correct!!!]*
This button is for loading the saved BATCH, the name of the button is now changed to "Load saved Batch" to make it clear
You should just skip this step!!! (unless you are using it to "Load saved Batch", in this case you need to skip edit batch, eventually)

> Save batch file [correct]
> Run batch file [correct]

Cheers,
Sasha

Dear Sasha,

I have walked through the steps once again, this time *not* loading a batch file, but instead:

> editing the batch file that shows up once "Edit Batch File" is selected
> once I had written in what I needed, I pressed "Save Changes"
> Exit this window and select "Run Batch File"

Again, I am getting the same issue, in that regardless of what I had written and saved in the batch file, the "Run Batch File" command just used the default batch.

I checked this again by repeating the above steps, saving the changes, exiting the window, and then going *back* into "Edit Batch file", and what I had written previously had been once again replaced by the default batch file.

Again, any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Azaria

OK so saving batch files now works again. I will do some checks on whether the batch file gets copied successfully over SSH and report back
