Distribution plots not displayed

Asked by Safa Naseem on 2016-06-20

I am a new user, and I submitted a job. After I was informed (by email) that the job was complete, I checked the results, but i could not find the distributions that I asked to be plotted in the batch file. When I tried to open the link provided in the history, it turns out to be an invalid link.

Moreover, in the history, i have several lines that look similar to this:

cp: cannot stat `distr_1.png': No such file or directory

There is a line like this for each distribution. I am unable to understand what needs to be corrected. Kindly help me fix this issue.

Dear Safa,

at the moment we do not have interface at HEPMDB to view .png plots which are created,
so it is in TODO list.
However you can quickly and easily create plots using HPEMDB tools from the LHE event files
which you create.

To do this you need:
1. to chose "File" ->"View LHE and NT folder" option from the menu at the top left side of the window
  of your "Calculate" session

2. chose your .lhe.gz file and chose option "Uncompress" in the "File" menu,
as a result, this file will be unzipped and .nt (ntuple file will be created for plotting)

3. You should chose created .nt file and click "Plot" menu,
where you can chose particle(s) set by their ID and the kinematical variable to plot.
The plots are created in different formats, including PDF one and you can easily download these.
Moreover you can download data for the histogram plotted to be used locally for analysis and production, for example
  several distributions in one plot.

Regards,

Alexander
